Marina. Excuse me asking but what age are you, and are you receiving a state pension.

This is needed for answers to your questions.

Regards. Trev..

Hi again. Thanks for the added info. Unfortunately I am only up to speed on what happens if you are retired. Hopefully Teresa or someone in your situation will be able to help.

Good Luck. Trev..

Hi there,

You will be able to purchase these medications, or their equivalent, in Cyprus without prescription. I can find out what the cost will be if you would like me to, or you could walk into any pharmacist yourself and enquire if you would rather do that.

If you do want to visit a doctor for any reason there will be a charge - privately it is approx € 20 a visit and at the Paphos General € 14 a visit. Please ensure your bring your EHIC with you if you are a tourist as that will cover you for emergency treatment.

Technically speaking you are obliged to register with the Cyprus government if your stay in Cyprus exceeds 3 months, as that is the maximum length of time for a tourist visit. If you are intending to stay for at least 6 months a year it could be in your interest to register for residency as you would then qualify for the Cyprus tax system which is much better than the UK.

Anyway, I have strayed off the subject. Please let me know if you want me to establish the cost of the medications.
