Gallbladder Op.

Postby Loulou's Mum » 27 Jan 2013 12:56

Can anyone recommend a surgeon for gallbladder removal. (I was going to post this in the medical section but thought more people would view it here).

Thanks

Christine.

Hi - why does everyone pm? I for one am having gallbladder problems and would be more than interested to know peoples recommendations. Surely this can be an open discussion? I thought that was what this forum was for, "information and advice" any advice from people who have had problems, or surgery would be more than welcome.
Thanks Dee

I'm glad you posted that AnnieC, found it most informative and gives further reassurance that the health treatments here are as good as most places and a lot better than some. How long would you have had to wait for a similar operation in the UK? Shouldn't have thrown them away though, you could have made a nice necklace out of them

Thank you so much Annie, most informative and reassuring. I attended the Blue Cross many years ago and was not very impressed, I now use the Iasis. However, of late many of my friends have been using the Blue Cross and have been most impressed with the standards of nursing care and I have been unsure of where to go. Thanks again for your posting.

Yes, Dr Economides, the general surgeon and urologist is brilliant at Blue Cross, which always has a nice 'disinfectant smell' when you go in!

Hi, she has probably had the op by now but I have just had mine removed by key hole surgery by Dr Aristos Georghiou at the Evangelismos. Could not have had better treatment and 10 days on I am almost back to normal.
Good luck.
