No idea of cost but Dr Palas at the Evangelismos is a popular choice for people needing this procedure, a nurse friend of mine who assisted him said he was very good!

I have his direct number so PM me if you'd like it.

I used Dr Palas last year at the Evangilismos for my Endoscopy and the total amount including his charges plus the theatre and use of endoscopy equipment came to 400 euros, at the time i enquired at several private hospitals and the cost was roughly the same, i chose Dr Palas as he came highly recommended, both himself and Chris his assistant done a wonderful job of calming me down ( i was a nervous wreck !!).Hope this helps you.

Karen - Gisela has won it as a prize and doesn't want it so is asking for offers if anyone wants to buy it.

By the way Chris Iwho helped Dr Palas) is now a nurse for Unity medical who did the dirty on Houston Medical and based presently at Aphrodite Hills.

Are Unity & Phoenix Ambulance Service the same organisation?

Thank you very much for the reply.
The story is: I won a voucher for this examination at a tombola of a charity event. We count every peny in these times in particular and all we need is the money for our 5 rescued dogs. that's why we were thinking of selling the voucher to someone who needs an endoscopy and maybe is also low on funds.
the doctor is in Nicosia. the buyer can have the tel.nr. to verify everything and make an appointment.
So we all could have the reards from this tombola price and it would be a pity if it would expire.
If someone is interested, please send us a mail or pm,
Strange thing, I know, but that's the way it is.

AR I'm sure you remember the trouble recently when Unity launched a hostile takeover of Phoenix, which resulted in John Thompson restarting his company using the name Phoenix? I think if you searched on here you'd find it all!

Re...."Are Unity & Phoenix Ambulance Service the same organisation?"

Certainly Not. Unity is the company that took over Houston Medical. Houston medical is no more the name of the bigger company is Unity.

Phoenix is the name of a relatively newly formed company. It was formed by John Thompson and others who were originally called Houston.
As they cannot trade under the original name they are now called Phoenix

Of course I recall the hostile takeover of Houston (I think you meant - not Phoenix) by Unity. What I didn't know is that John Thompson had restarted under the name of Phoenix. I've spent so much time away from Cyprus in past months that I have lost a lot of discussions on CL. Hope John goes from strength to strength.
