Frozen shoulder

Postby Chez » 17 Apr 2013 18:26

I have a friend who has all the symptoms of a frozen shoulder, she has been to the general and has a referral for a specialist for a possible cortisone injection. She has to wait until mid July for this and has considerable pain. Was wondering if anyone had received treatment from any of the private hospitals for frozen shoulder and had the cortisone injection and roughly how much was the cost. Thanks Cheryl

Yes, about 2 years ago after physiotheraphy failed to cure the problem I went to Dr Boris at the Evangelemos and he gave me a cortisone injection that cleared it up. Cost me if I remember 50 euro and was done there and then.

However on my last visit to that hospital (to see another doctor) I noticed Dr Boris was no longer there; the receptionist told me he had left but was still working in Paphos but I'm not sure where.

Dr. Boris was working from the new building opposite the Renault Dealers between the Polis Road and the new roudabout with the fountain close to the General Hospital.
