Has anyone had blood tests for Thyroid and Pituitary Gland function? If so, can you tell me how you went about it and how long it takes to get the results?

Many thanks in advance

I go regularly to the Evangelismos for Thyroid blood tests and then see the General Practitioner there the following morning. I arrive at 0800am and the result is ready by lunchtime; I usually get the test that has three results which is a little more expensive but gives a more comprehensive view of your condition. Best not to eat or drink anything for 12 hours before.

If your condition requires a Specialist the GP will inform you and have the reception arrange an appointment with the visiting Specialist who attends the hospital a couple of times a month if I remember correctly..
