Non Residents Landlord Scheme

Postby john B » 24 Jun 2011 09:14

A friend who lets out a property in the UK has had a letter from their UK letting agent that says they must have an approval number to pay the rent to the landlord without deducting tax.
Can anyhone help please?
Where can you get an approval number, what is it, etc.

The agent is correct. Once registered with the NR landlord scheme you should be able to use any unused UK personal allowance against tax.
