I read with interest the double page spread in some of the Paphos newspapers recently the 'investment opportunity' offered by Clio International. Having worked in the Financial Services industry for many years I contacted the company on it's Cyprus freephone number and was connected to Spain. The example I was sent is below

"Example:-
On an original investment of €20,000, you would receive €600 per quarter as repayments of the original capital invested, paid throughout the three year period. If you decide not to complete the purchase when this option is available, you will complete the 3-year term and receive €12,800, which is the remainder of your capital investment less the quarterly repayments already received, plus a return on your investment of a further €6,000, (i.e. 30% on your original investment)."

There is no mention anywhere in the information I was sent of regulation or guarantor / bank involvement.

Is anyone this gullible that they would believe this BS??

I emailed and asked for a brochure on behalf of a friend in the UK who is in finance and wanted to know what this was. I asked for a brochure and got back a single page which told me very little - very unhelpful ?

Yes, Clio is the marketing arm of another company. Email me if you need more details.

Gary is spot on with this one avoid them at all costs. Most of my clients have heard the same radio message and have asked how this can be done? My reply when you find out tell me and I will stop working for living!
