Canna lillies!

Postby Pickles » 04 May 2012 18:12

I want to buy some already potted but don't seem to be having much luck finding any! I adore the bright orangey red ones here and am so jealous of people who have them in their gardens.

Has anyone seen any in any shops or garden centres?

Oh yes they're different - the ones you saw are the ones used most commonly in bouquets, Canna lillies are a bit different.

Thanks anyway

I have just noticed this old post. But if still an issue I went to Kew Gardens and saw this plant growing in pond water. I made a few inquiries and now grow mine in a planter with pond liner in--- so no drainage. I believe the plant is an edible native of north America but have not indulged.
