MS Outlook - problem

Postby Mike Strand » 25 Sep 2014 09:47

I use MS's Outlook & because they appear to have removed the box for daylight saving my emails were always timed as an hour out! I thought I'd get around this by choosing Israel as my location. That was fine until today, when everything MicroSoft is now in Hebrew!!!!

Do they not realise that people travel around the world & have no wish to receive things necessarily in that countries language?

Your suggestions would be most welcome (apart from scrapping Outlook).

This can (annoyingly) happen on other sites too, where the site assumes that just because our IP address is in Cyprus, then the site should be written in Greek.

Set your Windows regional settings time zone to UTC+2.00 (Athens/Bucharest) and your location to UK. This should give you the settings you are familiar with.
If by Outlook you mean Outlook as part of Microsoft Office rather than Outlook.exe the web app, then it will follow the windows regional settings.

If you set your location to Ireland you get everything KG says plus the default currency is Euros! :)

Microsoft Outlook software installed on your computer with an email account, or Microsoft 'Outlook.com' the webmail ?
