I would agree that is certainly one of the best we have tried here.
But of course you can eat in as well which is what we usually choose to do.

Can't compare with others as the others are too far away for us. But have been to the Mandria Fish and Chippy many times over the years and cannot fault it. Wife and I usually share a portion and still struggle to finish everything.

Mandria Fish and Chip restaurant is a regular stopping off point for us on our way to the airport, whether we're travelling ourselves or picking up friends at the airport. Can't beat it. If it was closer to Peyia, we'd be there more often

Tried their fish and chips last week , not for me , fish coated in what looked like brown leather, no bubbly beer batter here ,so never again.

We tried it also, just the once with my parents on the way back to the airport at the end of their holiday in Limassol.

Four of us were extremely disappointed. Neither of us chose to try and finish the huge portions of tasteless fish and chips.

We had an excellent place for eat in or takeaway fish and chips locally to us in Limassol so me and hubby considered we had been spoiled by that.

We've been back to Mandria many times since that visit but have steered clear of the "chippy".

I can't get excited over large portions if the food does not taste of anything. Maybe they were having an off day on our visit but we weren't prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt on another occasion.

I have to agree that the portions are far too large and we could happily share one portion which we will do next time we go - I'm sure there would be no objection!
As regards your visit Jules then I think you must have found them on an off day as we have never found them greasy at all and to me the cod tastes like cod!

To each his/her own poison :P

I have been twice but a little to far out for us although we do love the small but lovely village, the fish and chips we have found not worth the drive..

Favorite time in the village is the Peanut harvest time..the smell of peanuts hits you when you drive through.

Not very impressive I feel..long flat and limp, the fish that is, chips needed another few minutes.

Many of us miss Ramsdens to be honest (below pic), now they were the best in town, gone but not forgotten..

Mandria I have tried it a few times also, and each time was disappointed. Still, each to their own!

When reviews of an eating place are split , I always prefer to try it myself . Me and my family and friends love it , will be in again this Wednesday . Is the Santa Maria in Coral Bay the same owners ?

Ditto. I've probably been 20 times over the years and cannot fault the place. My sister and b-i-l delight in going there each time they come out to Cyprus. Cannot fault the cod or the fries and the sauce tartare is much improved too. Wife and I usually share a portion, as they're humungous...and we still struggle to finish. The place is invariably packed, which means they must be doing something right, as there is plenty of choice of eateries locally.

We travel out for the Mandria Fish and chips every now and then, all the way from Polemi. We feel that they are the best.

We've been there on many occasions and it's always been excellent. Fortunately not far from Geroskipou

We may as well be having this same discussion about Marmite.... We will never all agree.
My comments were based on the experience of 4 people who ate there at the same time. What are the chances of us all leaving our meals?

Just like Marmite, I tried it once... Never again.

It's not stopped me trying fish and chips in other Cyprus restaurants. Some have been very good and others not. Guess which places we would go back to?

As someone said "each to their own".

Just a mile or so East from Paphos Airport.
The fish and chips are good there, and we make a special journey from time to time from Polemi.

It is actually Mandria - just a typo error but if you're looking it up you need it correct.

Thanks for the correction - bit confusing for newcomers when place names are misspelt! :-?

Actually if you type into Google maps the words Madria Cyprus, it brings up Mandria Paphos Cyprus.
