Our first meeting with a gang of three. We had a good start to Polis Book Club and sorted out quite a lot of ideas. We had four apologies so there should have been seven of us.

With this in mind we are having another meeting NEXT Wednesday (the 30th September) to get some more people along, choose a book and really kick this off. Sorry to see our flyers at Paps in Polis had been taken down but we will not be deterred so onwards and upwards. Hope to see lots of you at next week's meet up. If anyone wants to run off a couple of flyers and post in their area let me know and I can email them to you.

Many thanks.

Ann

Polis Book Club - Thank you everyone who managed to turn up for yesterday's Book Club meeting. Six in total with a couple more who couldn't make it. Great meeting with everyone getting to know each other and a recap on last week. Book for this month's reading is The Back Road by Rachel Abbott - you can download it from Kindle. The next meeting will be on Wednesday 28th October at 3.00 at Saddles. Thanks to Helen and Evanka for looking after us. See you all soon.

Started reading 'The Back Road' by Rachel Abbott that the Book club recommended yesterday. Really enjoying it so far, probably about half way through it. Will probably look out for other books by this author as she is the type of thriller/crime I enjoy.

Sorry couldn't make the October meeting but will try to come for November one.

Keep up the good work!!!

My wife, Ann, runs the book club and I only posted on this forum to let people know of the club's existence. If you want more details then send me a PM for her phone number.
