Printer problem

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my printer (HPdeskjet F2280 ) is playing up, only printing bits of any document !! I have cleaned the print heads and it prints the test page perfect, HELP please !!! Don't want to buy a new printer til I've asked you guys.

I use the HP Deskjet F2280 on Windows 10 and it works fine. I suggest you go to the HP web site and Type in your printer ID. (as I have just done). The site can find and then check your printer. Have it switched on. Then download the driver.

I think you mean 'since changing', don't you? :lol:

As Bazzra says, probably need to update the drivers??

There is normally a way, for the printer alone to print test page(s) and alignment tests etc, this is often managed directly through the interface menu on the printer itself.

Before writing off you printer, give that a go, and if all good then as others have posted, get the right drivers. If the printer is 'old' you can probably substitute Windows 8 drivers at a push, although if not comfortable best to take to a local PC store or call out the engineer.

Thanks guys turns out I had a duff black cartridge (half full) got a new one bingo all well now.
