Computer faulty.

My computer started to play up----everytime its switched on , the screen freezes and just shows hello written across the screen---any advice ? It"s a Dell. Mossy99 :?:

Have you tried removing the battery then replace and turn on.

Sound like it may be a virus try running this CC Cleaner download from internet has solved all sorts of problems for me.

Suggest you do as Trev said. First thing Mon at 10.00hrs Computer SOS.

You could try this ....

First start in 'safe mode'
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/start-computer-safe-mode

Then download and install https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_current/
Making sure you untick all the boxes offering free trials and additional bits

Run Malwarebytes and remove all the threats it finds

Maybe that will fix it???

Alternatively, as others have said, go to a shop and get them to do it perhaps. :)
