Advice Please

I know this should probably be in the IT section but hope Jim will allow it to remain for a little while.

OH would like a Tablet and I was wondering as I know nothing about them at all, what would you recommend?

He would use it for reading the papers online, hardly at all for e mails.

What would you recommend?

If all he really needs it for is reading papers, then a Kindle would probably be fine.

I'm sure there will be folks coming on here saying 'iLove my iPad' but things like that are about 3 times the price!!

I really would love to recommend Tesco's Hudl2. Excellent tablet and at £99 is brilliant without being too complicated to use. I love mine. Alas when I looked online to see availability for a friend, I find they are no longer available. Shame really. This advice not much good for you, so hopefully someone else will give you recommendations suitable for your needs.

Hi James both ok thanks. I have a Kindle although I only read on it, looking for a bigger screen too for Dave.

DeeMac that was the very one he had looked at in Tesco but because we dithered, by the time mind made up they had stopped selling them. So something on these lines would be good,easy to use.

Can recommend the Samsung Galaxy 4 tablet. Go for the larger version (9"?). Widely available in Public and elsewhere.

Jen, if your OH only wants one to read the papers, then any 10" Android tablet would be OK, they are inexpensive compared to the 'Named' tablets and easy to use. Have a look on e-bay to give you some idea as to prices.
