help with my pool

hi i am looking for advice on cleaning my pool. After i clean it goes cloudy for a few days and there is a lot of sand on the bottom of the pool ?? What setting to I put it at etc... its been trial and error this year and I would love to start getting it correct and help would be appreciated

You may have been better off putting this in the swimming pool section, but here goes.

When did you last backwash the pool and when did you last change the sand in the filter?

Also, when you clean the pool, what do you have the multi-port valve set on?

You have dirt cycling back into the pool, so it looks like it is either passing straight through the filter, or is bypassing it altogether.

IS it sand from the sand filter or just dirt coming back into the pool ?. If sand it could be the breather pipe {that prevents air locks inside the sand filter} adrift where it attaches to the return pipe internally allowing sand to enter the pool. If dirt, do a back wash and reclean your pool.
