ONE DAY, ONE SONG

We are initiating a new and hopefully exciting fundraising idea that we hope will become an annual event. It’s a completely new idea to the Island of Cyprus and we hope that lots of people will join in. We have confidence that not only will people feel happy taking part and donating but come to realize how important singing is and what good it actually does to each of us.

It is called ONE DAY, ONE SONG! And the premise is that people come together in various groups on one particular day and practice/learn a song. At the end of the day they all join together and sing that said song.

The song will be rehearsed at several venues around Paphos during the day of 2nd October 2016 and then at 5/5.30pm everyone will come together and perform the song on Paphos Harbour in front of the fort.

Each person pays a fee of €5 to join in the event, and this money will all go to the charity nominated, Archangel Michael Hospice.

We have several renowned vocal coaches to help with the rehearsing and practicing of the song, Kaela Santosh, Julie Dawn Edwards Paul Timmins and Paul Skinner, all of whom are professional musicians on the island, so we do have the right degree of leadership for the day.

We also intend to have commemorative T shirts printed, with the following

I sang in One Day, One Song! at Paphos Harbour 2016.

Also on the T-shirts will be the charities and any sponsors logos.

This is an unusual event and the first of its kind here in Cyprus.

All monies raised will be used to buy much needed patio furniture for the patients rooms.

This event is this coming Sunday 2 October. So if anyone wants to come along and join in, with the finale down at the harbour, please let me know. Cost is €5 and all monies raised goes directly to Archangel Michael Hospice to buy patio furniture for each of the patients rooms.
