BBC iPlayer problems today

Is anyone having problems with BBC iPlayer today as it's now saying that it does not recognise my VPN even though I have no problems with all other UK TV stations eg ITV and Sky on my laptop?

I have been using unblockus and had the same thing this morning when trying to view the news.

My wife used the BBC iPlayer this morning with no problems. I have just checked it again on my laptop and all is running OK.
We use 'Private Internet Access' as a VPN, and we have Adblocker plus running with Firefox on Windows 7.

Correct it is not BBCIplayer that is the problem, it will be your VPN, do you pay for this service? if so contact the VPN service operator as you may need to reinstall the VPN installer, not an usual problem, if it is a free service then you probably have to try taking it off your PC and then reloading the free VPN. Best to turn off any pop up blockers you may have.

I read in the DM,BBC are thinking of charging you for using the system.

It would seem to be an 'unblock us' problem as our VPN (Private Internet Access) is working OK

Regarding the reported iplayer/unblock-us problem.

No response to my email to them yesterday. I assume they are busy finding an answer?

Anyone who uses unblock-us able to view iplayer yet ?

I haven't received a reply to my two emails to them.

Their website states that there is a problem with BBC iPlayer worldwide and they are working to fix the problem.

Somewhat strangely I can access the BBC radio website.

Still no response from them and the problem is worse now (Saturday)

Previously it was a strange situation that a number of the iplayer programmes were affected, but not all.

Today the error message is that none of the programmes are listed.

Today (Saturday) I can get all the UK TV stations (including BBC iPlayer) on my laptop but I still cannot get BBC iPlayer on my iPad.

I have several PC's and a Tablet, I can get all BBCIplayer downloads with no problem, like Trev I use Private Internet Access VPN, not saying this is a cure all, but I am not having any problems (as yet)

I think it is a problem with VPN operator unblock.

Yes agreed.

I have VPN on laptops, tablets etc and no problem.

Problem is on a Samsung TV and unblock-us. Their website is advising that they are aware of the problem and are working to remedy it.

Still no Joy Tuesday morning.

Unblock-us Update 2/2/14:

Unfortunately, we've received some complaints today that bbc is not working consistently on Samsung TV. We can confirm this. It appears that some users may also experience some issues with others devices again as well. Our technical team is working on a more permanent fix but it is taking time to resolve fully. If you experience buffering issues on ipad, turn off your wifi, restart device, turn wifi back on and try again. This seems to help in some cases. For other devices, close app and restart. Keep trying as some videos are not working on the first attempt. We will certainly post an update once we know it's resolved.
