Harley Davidson ride to the Kouris Dam, Cyprus part six

Welcome to "Motorcycle ride Cyprus" and part six of our Harley Davidson ride to the Kouris Dam
outside the village of Alassa in the Limassol district of Cyprus. We continue our ride along the B8
through the mountains were we see the construction of a new bridge, as we take the original road
into the river bed and around and on towards Limassol.
As we reach the main highway back to Paphos we want to get onto the coastal road but which junction
is it best to take?

You could also have continued all around the edge of Kouris Dam (it's a very nice drive) heading down through Ypsonas and then taken the old Limassol to Paphos road out towards Kolossi and continued through Episkopi garrison.

Cool.... enjoy, when you take the trip

We often stop just after we cross the small bridge at the bottom end of the reservoir where the road starts to climb after crossing the Kouris River. There's a little bridge at the bottom and it's a favourite haunt for some very noisy frogs!

This is the building that you can see from the Troodos road (but taken from the opposite side to Troodos road) as you head down from Alassa towards the Heritage School. Depending on the water levels in the dam, it's either above or below the water. This photo was taken in June 2013 and it's better to click through the photo to see it in full size (just click again when you reach it) directly on my Flickr account.
