I am trailing a new tv service provider called Unotelly. So far I am well impressed as there is no buffering. I am currently with VPN my private network but may change following the free 8 day trial. The website is Unotelly.com - they are American but you can't hold that against them ! Geoff

Don't think they actually provide a tv service; they are just a VPN to allow you to receive Iplayer, ITV player etc. I have Unotelly VPN on my router and the cost is £38.80 sterling per year after the 8 day trial. I may be wrong but that's how I read it.

Brian (computer SOS) introduced me to Unotelly a while back, and like you say, it works well. I would go for the 12 month option.

I have my own Cisco router, and have installed the DNS Addresses on that as well as on all of my devices. If you browse the site you'll find a page where you can set all your options to suit UK TV. Then, if you have a smart TV, and you use one of the Dynamo addresses, you can bring BBC iPlayer and Demand5 up directly on the TV.

I do find occasionally I have to go to the QuickStart page to reset it, particularly after power cuts, but it's no big deal.

Also, I have, as of last month moved from Cyta to Primetel, and have to say, streaming has improved no end. I had an 8 meg package with Cyta which on checking was nearer 4meg. The same speed with Primetel clocks in at 7.5meg. And I'm saving 20 euros a month.

1080p movie rentals from iTunes typically used to take 20 mins or so before they were ready to watch. Primetel is all but instant taking only a minute or two to start.

We, too, have UNO Telly from Computer SOS and pay $3.xx US Dollars a month for the service.

Recommended.

My trial finishes today.

I'm going to subscribe to it as I think that it is better than MPN - it buffers much less (hardly at all !!)

Also you go straight into it from the IPlayer site and you can get BBC live without using Filmon.

One downside is that you cannot access the National Lottery !!

It costs $7.95 a month - MPN was £5.00 so it's about the same price.

BBCI player has always shown live BBC TV, it is as always been on the Iplayer site, you will normally need a VPN either a free or one of those who charge a small fee.

I would be cautious about taking a 1 year contract bearing in mind the sort of problems we read about on here. A monthly payment is an insurance policy!
